My lovely mom and sister usually give me a gift on Mother’s Day. I don’t know why, they do but they do and I am so grateful to have such loving, caring people in my life. Their gifts are always thoughtful too and this year they gave me a can opener. I know, most ladies would prefer chocolates but not me!
This was no ordinary can opener, you just set it down on top of the can and press a button and it seals it self to the can and cuts around the edge creating a replaceable lid without sharp edges to cut you.
It’s called the Farberware Hands-Free Automatic Can Opener. It does run off of two double A batteries, but so far I haven’t had to replace mine and my husband opened just about every can in the house. He opened different sizes of cans, the bigger ones take a little longer, but cut just as well.
I’m a practical girl and I gave my mom a very nice slightly used lawn mower for a Mother’s Day gift! She seems very happy with her gift too. I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
